Painting is my passion. After getting hooked on this “hobby” I quickly realized that I had no space for everything and it would cost a small fortune to paint everything I wanted to paint. So I decided to offer my services. Now, I get to paint the minis that you paid for and give them back to you so I don’t run out of room for everything. It’s amazing how quickly the space disappears when you have a lot of them. I am very fortunate to love my full time job, so while the additional income is great, I can focus on service and quality without worrying about having enough commissions to pay my bills, which also allows me to keep your costs down as well. I get to put my heart and soul into each model and get a joy out of bringing happiness to my buyers when they see amazing results.

From your most basic needs to advanced and elaborate paint schemes, techniques and details, I’ve got you covered. I work with you from color scheme through basing to ensure you get figures that you love. The painting quality level is required to provide any quotes.

As an individual painter I can not handle orders over 30 pieces at a time. For larger quantities, I would recommend finding a studio that can do large volumes.

  • Basic

    Extremely low cost while putting paint on the models. Great for large orders or games with many pieces to give them a little more personality.

  • Standard

    Going beyond the table top quality, the standard offers highlights and shadows plus simple basing for a great piece. Good for minions or a special hero.

  • Premium

    Display quality and the best of my abilities. This includes advanced techniques like OSL, NMM and lining. Perfect for the BBE in any campaign or display piece.

Available Techniques

  • OSL - Object Source Lighting

    Glowing objects, flaming swords or spell effects, or any effect that has a specialized light coming from anywhere on or near the mini, causing changes in the coloring. This sample has both fire light plus turquoise cave lighting. Available with premium or as an add-on with standard.

  • NMM - Non-Metallic Metal

    The use of contrast to create the look of metal without actually using any metallic paint. The axe uses black, white, gray and a little touch of blue to read as a metallic item, but no metallic paint has been used. Available for premium only.

  • TMM - True Metallic Metal

    The opposite as NMM, this technique uses metallic paints with several shades to create a dynamic look that really showcases metal. Easiest to see on the cuff and sword hilt, the shading of the metal makes a more dynamic look than a single metallic paint. Available for standard and premium.

  • Iridescent Effects

    The idea of making something look like it shifts colors as you move, like the mermaid’s tail, can be applied in several ways based on different colors. Available as a standard upgrade and premium.

  • Weathering

    Rust, Virdigris, mud, dirt, grime and more. Available for both standard and premium.

  • Gore, Drool, Bruises, Scars and Blood

    Just let me know how beat up your figure is or how gross you want me to make it. Available for standard, upgrade to standard, and premium.

  • Basic Freehand

    Galaxy, stripes or other simple patterns as well as text or some designs can be added. I can only paint basic patterns and texts, but I can also use decals to add additional details. Available as standard upgrade or premium.

Pricing

Each figure and project is unique, so it can be difficult to guess what box it should be in. This is why all commissions are quoted individually prior to an order being placed. The prices below are set to give you a vague idea of what you might be looking at for commissioning a figure to be painted.

28 - 32 mm figure (about 1 inch tall)

54 - 72 mm (2 - 3 inches)

  • Available for standard

    1 light source included in standard and up to 3 are included in premium already.

    Cost is per additional lighting source (for example you may want glowing eyes and a glowing sword resulting in 2 sources) when applicable. Not always charged this way depending on the figure and quality level, so be sure to get a proper quote.

  • Included option for premium. Some simple designs may be included in standard. For basic and difficult patters on standard, the pricing varies widely depending on the design, size, materials, etc, but can run anywhere from $5 - 75. Please be sure you get a proper quote.
